In an effort to unite Eastern Kentucky Researchers, Genealogist & Historians, we are inviting anyone interested to attend the Eastern Kentucky Genealogy Conference.
This event is held annually the 3rd weekend in September at the Ramada Inn & Conference Center in Paintsville, Johnson County, KY.
This is a 3 day event starting in the evening on Friday and carrying through Lunch time on Sunday and will include Vendors offering Genealogy related materials as well as some with unique Appalachia Crafts. Many area Historical Societies will also be in attendance collecting dues and offering information on their county/area.
Top that all off with scheduled speakers sharing information on Eastern Kentucky and researching your family, a Saturday Night Auction and time to mingle and meet with other people who all have a passion & love for Eastern Kentucky and it's people and this is sure to be an event that you don't want to miss!!
Photo Information: In 2007 the acting committee received an award for their efforts
Having started in 2002, what is now known as the Eastern Kentucky Genealogy Conference was once simply known as the Johnson County Reunion and started out as a group of online researches who wanted to meet face to face. By 2004 the response was overwhelming and the name was changed and a committee formed as we broadened our horizons in an effort to bring you this wonderful event year after year.
